We work to uproot the ancestral fatalistic and animistic worldview anchored in Haitian Voodoo culture and religions, causing all the problems of their society: extreme poverty, endemic unemployment, malnutrition, illiteracy, violence against women, absence of public services, and crime.

Who we serve

Women

Research continues to demonstrate that women are generally more responsible when it comes to micro-finance projects and income generation, as they TEND TO THINK FIRST IN THEIR FAMILIES.

By empowering these mothers, we help the whole family.

The Materially Poor

Most of our associates live below the national poverty line, and struggle daily to meet their basic needs. Since they cannot offer a warranty to get a loan, our service allows them to build up this dream to LIVE A DIGNIFIED LIFE.

ESPERANCE is there to provide hope, because we do BELIEVE IN THEIR POTENTIAL.

The Socially Marginalized

Our target population has been rejected by the formal banks, who live in remote areas of the country, having little or no formal education, they only have access to get working capital through loan sharks with excessive interest rates that would only SINK THEM INTO AN UNPAYABLE DEBT.

We all need and deserve an opportunity.
